Intention pédagogique

Have students form teams to create a visual aid and use it to deliver an oral presentation in English.

Déroulement

Present a segment of the 1000 Days for the Planet mission in English, using a visual aid that the students have created in teams.

- Divided into teams, students access the Sedna IV image bank on the 1000 Days for the Planet website .

- Using the search tool, the students choose a region and then five photos from that region (animals, geographical areas, or other).

– The students copy the images to the computer desktop to insert them into their visual presentation (PPT or other). They must take care to include credits for each image.

- They then compile all the information they can find about these images, either from the photograph captions or the associated log entries.

- They complete their visual presentation by adding English notes and texts as they deem appropriate.

The finished project is presented in English to the rest of the class. The other students may wish to ask the presenting team for further explanations as necessary.
